Blogging – Is it right for your business?
Before you start researching the difference between Wix and WordPress, you need to get to know your audience. Not sure if your audience will respond effectively to blogging?
Here are four reasons why blogging might be the right choice for your company.
1) The audience you’re reaching is limited
If you’re stumped on how to attract more attention to your website, blogging might be the right choice for you. In fact, B2B marketers that blog receive 67% more leads than those who don’t
If client referrals provide with a sufficient amount of clients or customers then you might not need to start a blog. If there’s any doubt whatsoever that the cash might continue to flow in, in the future, or you just want to grow your income, blogging is a great tool to get more Google search traffic.
2) Your audience actually reads blogs
If you have any doubt whatsoever about what your audience likes, create a survey either via your newsletter or via social media.
- Offer a great incentive, like a relevant resource, discount, or gift card, to encourage people to actually take part.
- Make it anonymous to encourage 100% honesty.
- Tally the results, and if a high percentage of your participants say that blogs are their favorite means of consuming content, you need to set up a blog as soon as possible!
3) You’re a business on a budget
Not everyone can throw thousands of dollars, at a SuperBowl-like event. And that’s okay! That’s exactly what blogging is good for. Blogging, when done effectively, is a great way to reach a large, niche audience, within a short period.
And you don’t have to have a massive budget to do it.
You can set up a blog the affordable, user-friendly way with sites like Bluehost, HostGator, GoDaddy, and Weebly.
4) You’re just starting out
When you’re just starting out, building trust is essential.
People want to know that you can not only do the job but also do it effectively and professionally.
Blogging is a great way to do that.
If you give people free advice, that actually leads to valuable results, they’ll remember you. In fact, it’s a powerful way to encourage referrals.
But how do I know that? A high percentage of my paying customers always bring up something that they read on my blog. Something that made a memorable and lasting impact on their lives.
In conclusion…
Just any other type of marketing tool, you have to blog with a purpose. Don’t do it, unless you have a plan, and are 100% certain it’s the right way to reach your audience.
